This DVD resource has been developed to promote awareness among young people of the dangers of the misuse of drugs and alcohol. It comprises three films (a drama and two informational presentations) and additional learning exercises, including worksheets. Enough materials are provided to run a one-day course or provide input into a number of teaching sessions as part of a school, college or university module. The resource could also be used as part of a groupwork programme by youth workers, social workers and/or public health professionals.
Dr Neil Thompson is well-known in the people professions as an author, trainer, consultant and conference speaker. He has over 150 publications to his name, including several bestselling books. He has held full or honorary professorships at four UK universities and is currently a director of Avenue Consulting Ltd.

Anyone involved in helping young people to become aware of the dangers of drugs and alcohol will find this a useful resources. This includes educators involved in schools, colleges and universities as well as youth leaders, social workers, public health professionals and others involved in supporting young people. Training officers in organisations that work with young people or employ a high number of young people may also find the resource a helpful set of learning materials to draw upon.
